Mission statement
Our mission is to help accelerate the development of treatments for rare diseases by providing specialized research and testing services to pharmaceutical companies around the world. We achieve this by building, training, and retaining a highly skilled workforce in Nova Scotia.
AGADA offers comprehensive preclinical drug efficacy studies and clinical trial endpoint testing and support services. To date, we have completed more than 100 preclinical drug efficacy studies using mouse models of muscular dystrophy and have supported more than 50 Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III clinical trials, including studies in Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Becker muscular dystrophy, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
