AGADA secures federal support to advance AI innovation
We're excited to announce that AGADA has secured two sources of federal funding to support the next phase of our research and integration of artificial intelligence.
Through the National Research Council of Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP), AGADA has received financial support to accelerate the development of innovative AI technologies that will strengthen our research capabilities and help bring new therapeutic solutions in the niche field of rare diseases to market. NRC IRAP supports Canadian businesses undertaking high-impact research and development projects with the potential to drive innovation and economic growth.
In addition, AGADA has been awarded over $576,000 in funding through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) as part of the Regional Artificial Intelligence Initiative. This investment will enable us to expand our facilities, acquire advanced laboratory equipment, develop new AI-powered services, and create five new jobs in Halifax.
These investments represent an important milestone for AGADA as we continue to develop cutting-edge AI solutions that support scientific discovery and innovation. We’re grateful to NRC IRAP and ACOA for their confidence in our vision and look forward to contributing to the growth of Atlantic Canada’s thriving AI ecosystem.
